He goes by the name Fine Boy, the winner of Tinkaroo Concert Party best comedian 2005. The 29 year old young and energetic man born on the 14th march 1978 was officially known as Iyvin Nii Odartey Lamptey.
He became part of comedy in the country at the age of 17 and until his untimely death, has won lot of admirers for himself on that field of creativity. During his career as a comedian, he became a TV character in concerts and adverts.
The comedian was a regular emcee at functions and among other activities he worked with a couple of radio stations including Happy Fm and Top Radio 103.1 Fm. At Top Radio, he was being hosted by DJ Lexis on the Drive Time Dubbed Top City Jam until Lexis left the country and had to join other presenters like Papa K and DJ Willi all of Top radio.
He was in a week past the interviewer on the station with some herbal centres. The last TV commercial he appeared on was by kind courtesy of Shuta Gin Bitters. It is announced that Fine Boy has kicked the bucket after a short battle of Asthma at the Korle Bu Poly Clinic in Accra on the late evening of Wednesday 17th of October 2007.
Fine Boy joins a list of entertainers who have passed away this year from Mufti, Bishop Osei-Bonsu, Kwadjo Aquai, Ola Williams, Apor, among others. His funeral arrangements would be announced soon. May he rest in perfect peace!
