The award-winning family entertainment show, It Takes 2 is back on GTV with a bang! A release issued by the organizers of the programme, Charterhouse, indicated an amazingly new and refreshing content which is bound to keep viewers glued to their seats.
Unlike the previous content, the new It Takes 2 has four exciting segments - test for friendship, family ties, smartness and intelligence and the quest to be daring.
During the ‘Power of Two’ segment, which begins the 30-minute ‘journey’ to quality entertainment, participants would race by the bell while putting their partners to test.
When a question is asked by regular host Kwami Sefa Kayi, participants from both teams are required to press a bell to indicate that their partners have an answer to the question.
The catch is that one can never tell whether his or her partner would be able to answer the question; but for the purposes of acquiring heavy “bucks”, participants are forced to risk it.
There is the Charade also which now comprises of both words and phrases. Lovers of It Takes 2 might have realized that this part of the programme previously comprised of only words while the phrases were saved for the “Ultimate Question” segment.
Again, what makes this segment a must-watch is the funny looks that suddenly appear on the faces of participants when a phrase is picked instead of a word.
This is the segment that would see participants crawling, jumping and making funny gestures to the delight of viewers and in their quest to earn millions of cedis.
Two other new segments that all together make this season’s It takes 2 a must-watch are the MTN Treasure Board and the Dare Round.
While the latter tests for participants’ bond in terms of friendship, family ties and other relationships, the former tests for a team’s ability to dare and seek a cool GH¢500 while putting their already earned money at risk.
Beginning tonight at 8:30pm host Kwami Sefa Kayi will “blow the whistle” for the commencement of the all-new and exciting It Takes 2 to run from now till the next season in 2008.
